A Five day camel trek

5 days : Visit of Wadi Rum and transfer to Aqaba by camel

For this trip we take you on a general tour of the main sites of Wadi Rum, starting off with the more usual places, and after the first two days heading south and away from the general tourist area. If there is something in particular that you would like to visit, please tell us and we will do our best to take you there, if it isn't too far away (camels don't walk very quickly, I am afraid).

Each day on the camels we go out in a different direction away from the desert camp, where normally we bring you each night to sleep. This camp is some 12kms from the village of Wadi Rum - see the page of photos where there is also a map.

As usual this programme finishes at 4pm on the last day when we return to the village.

We can if you wish, arrange for you to sleep out in the desert for one or more nights without returning to the camp. This can be a great experience, since you sleep under the stars, with no tent. We provide the mattresses, but we ask you to bring sleeping bags for this.

There is an extra charge for this of 10JD/person per night.

This is a special trek, and we are not offering it to people who are travelling alone, even with the surcharge.

Camel treks can in fact be arranged for any period from one day to one month if you should want one! In that case, you would cover a fair bit of south Jordan...

Price : 295JD/person for the five days. This price includes everything, the guide the camels and all meals.
