Jebel Burdah

This time we don't stop at the bridge but keep going until we reach the summit.

Going up and down this mountain will take you 5 hours to the top. You will cross the bridge on the way, but you will come down by a different route.

For a reasonably fit person, this climb is no more than a scramble with a couple of more difficult bits (grade 3 on the French scale) just before and just after the bridge, but it is very easy to miss the right way. Provided you have a properly qualified mountain guide with you with a rope, this is a marvellous and exciting outing and the views from the top are among the best in the whole Wadi Rum area.

Price for 1-6 people : 120JD. This price includes everything (the guide, the jeep ride to get there, and the food for the day). The price is for the group, to be shared among the participants.

We can also sleep there overnight! This is a wonderful experience, especially when there is a full moon. All of the mountains of Wadi Rum are spread out underneath in the moonlight. You would need to bring sleeping bags if you want to do this. The guide will carry the safety ropes and the food will be shared between everybody.

The price of an overnight on Jebel Burdah is 180JD for not more than 6 people. Please bring sleeping bags with you.
